residents from Shire President Cr Gordon Davidson JP,
detailing what has happened so far and where we go from
here. There is also a Police Incident Report form,
for use as detailed in the letter from Cr Davidson -
this is an opportunity for residents to be pro-active.

KUKERIN CREEKBED CHAMPIONSHIPS AND
BURNOUT COMPETITIONS - 2009
The WA Creekbed Championships and Burnout
Competitions are held each year in Kukerin on the long
weekend in September. This year it will be on the 26 and
27 September. A band plays on the Saturday night and
then all the fun of creek-bed racing and burnouts
continue throughout the day on Sunday. For further

SAILING ON LAKE DUMBLEYUNG
2005's "Unique Experience" of
sailing on Lake Dumbleyung was an overwhelming success.
However, due to a lack of rain throughout the region,
the Lake has dropped to levels that are unsafe to host a
sailing weekend this year. The community are keen
to run this type of event again once the lake has
sufficient water. If you are interested in
participating there is a register of sailors that the
committee keeps in contact with. Please register

CAMBINATA YABBIES DINNER
EXTRAVAGANZA - 2009
The Nenke family proudly present a Dinner Extravaganza
each year in October. The date for next year's occasion
is Saturday 3 October. The family shearing shed has been
revamped and restyled to allow for diners to enjoy a
quality evening with all our local produce being

This show just keeps getting bigger and better. 2008's
Festival saw a great crowd of people enjoying a myriad
of entertainment - dog races, International Beer
Festival, sideshow alley, markets, photography
competitions, Dumbleyung Idol, and the return of the
gymkhana - the list goes on and to
end the day in style a popular band plays into the night
for young and old.

DUMBLEYUNG TRIATHLON
Saturday 7 November 2009 - part of the Bluebird
Festival.
The triathlon is now into its 14th year and sees the
steadfast competitors returning each year along with
those new people willing to give it a go. For further

DUMBLEYUNG CENTENARY 2007
The centenary of the Dumbleyung townsite was
celebrated in 2007 and a committee formed
to oversee the years events. The Dumbleyung & Districts
Short Stories History book will be reprinted and sold on
a pre-paid basis, orders for the book can be placed at
the Shire office. People wishing to contribute anything
