Electoral Roll

A person is eligible to be registered as an elector on the Electoral roll of this Municipality if he/she is enrolled as an elector for the Legislative Assembly or is the owner or occupier of a rateable property within the Shire. It is your responsibility to see that your name appears on the roll.

Change of Ownership and Address

It is important that Council be advised, in writing, of all transfers of land or changes of address. It is an offence under the Local Government Act to fail to advise Council within 21 days of the sale or disposal of land, advice of sale or disposal must be in writing, prompt notification will assist Council's staff.

Dogs

Dog licenses are renewable on November 1st and may be effective for either a one year period or a three year period. A few points to remember. Whenever a dog is in a public place, it must be on a leash and wear a collar with the owners name and address on it, as well as the registration disc. If a previous owner does not advise of a change of ownership, the previous owner continues to be responsible for any offence. The Council can seize a dog found in public places and not under effective control - the dog may be placed in a pound. The owner would then have to pay poundage charges to have the dog released.

Current registration fees are:
Dog Annual Fee 3 Year Fee
Sterilised dog or bitch $10 $18
