These prestigious awards, organized by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), are open to both volunteers and DFES operational and corporate staff. We believe in celebrating the dedication and hard work of our fire and emergency services personnel, and these awards provide an opportunity to honour their commitment to keeping our communities safe.

 

🏆 This year, we are placing a special emphasis on encouraging nominations for young volunteers aged 25 and under. We firmly believe in recognizing and celebrating the invaluable contributions of our youth in serving the community.

 

🌟 I urge you to spread the word and nominate deserving individuals, young volunteers, and teams from our regional staff, volunteers, and stakeholders. Your nomination could make a significant difference in acknowledging and honouring their dedication and sacrifice.

 

🎉 Nominators will receive fantastic incentives, including an invitation to the prestigious WAFES Awards gala dinner at Crown Perth in September for nominating a finalist. Winners of youth and individual awards will be invited to attend the 2025 AFAC Conference, and all volunteer finalists and winners will receive a cash prize.
