Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP)

The Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2024-2029 was adopted by Council at the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 18th April 2024 and assists the Shire of Dumbleyung to make its services and facilities equitable and accessible for people with disability. Under the Disability Services Act 1993, every local and state government agency must develop a DAIP.

A DAIP helps public authorities plan and implement improvements to access and inclusion across seven outcome areas. These include services and events, building and facilities, information, quality of service, complaints, consultation processes and employment.

These plans benefit people with disability, but also the community as a whole, including the elderly, parents with prams and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The Shire of Dumbleyung's DAIP ensures that all community members have equitable access to services and facilities.

The DAIP is available in hard copy and via email, and in alternative formats on request.

Please contact the Shire of Dumbleyung to request a copy of the DAIP in your preferred format by phone on 9863 4012 or email enquiries@dumbleyung.wa.gov.au
