The Shire is progressing plans to transform the school bus stop shelter on Taylor Street into a vibrant, community-inspired space. The project will include the installation of a painted mural, along with a bench and bike rack to improve functionality and promote bike safety.
The initiative aims to enhance the visual appeal of the Dumbleyung Primary School Bus Stop while fostering collaboration between the Shire, Dumbleyung Primary School, and the wider community. Students, staff, and local volunteers will have opportunities to contribute to the design and delivery of the mural, supported by a local artist Josh Roether.

Townscape Meeting Outcome:
It was confirmed that the Shire is currently investigating the procurement of a bench and bike rack for the site, subject to pricing. The Shire’s Economic Development Officer has engaged local artist Josh Roether to provide a quote and develop a concept mural. A draft Project Plan has been prepared for review, with community input to be sought to ensure the final design reflects themes of the school, learning, and the broader community, and is suitable for primary school students.
