The Shire of Dumbleyung has been successful in securing $528,512 in State Government capital grant funding for the construction of a new Kukerin Bushfire Brigade and St John Ambulance dual station.
This important project will deliver a modern, fit-for-purpose facility to better support local emergency response services and improve operational capacity for both organisations.
The new station will strengthen community safety and ensure volunteers have access to improved infrastructure and resources to respond effectively to emergencies across the Kukerin district.
The build will include:
* Site works
* Structure (the Shed)
* 2 parking bays - Bushfire and Ambulance
* Meeting room/office
* Bathroom
* Kitchen
* Wash bays
* Store rooms
* Electrical, water and sewer works
* Signage
* Fire extinguishers
* Fire escape doors
